My life in a nutshell? I was born in Memphis, Tennesee. I lived in Belgium
between the ages of one and six, where I attended a French-speaking school.
From there, the amount of Christmas letters we received annually took a
sharp decrease as friends and family tried to track us down; editing their
address books as we moved back to Memphis, north towards Minneapolis, over
the river and through the woods to Fargo—finally settling in the rainiest
city in the world: Sammamish, Washington—a suburb of Seattle. Accompanying
me as we trekked around the globe was my family: two parents, three sisters,
and a puppy (sounds like the name of a movie.)
As I have lived all over the board, consequentially, my hobbies also span
all across the board. I am extremely into music, as I have been singing for
nearly six years and playing guitar for two. Expanding on my music interest,
I have also been involved in school theater productions since the 7th grade.
I love writing (I write a weekly humor column for the local newspaper,) and
making movies (which is how I received this incredible opportunity!) I loved
arguing with my parents when I was in junior high, so I joined the debate
team in high school—I qualified for state this year and have been elected
co-captain for next year’s team.
