My name is Matthew Tompkins. I am 17 years old, and attend Dunwoody High School in Atlanta, GA. I was born in New Jersey, and lived there until the ripe old age of 2. I then moved to Atlanta, and have never left since then. I am Jewish, and am proud of my heritage. I have a younger brother named Jason, who is the most athletic 13 year old ever made. I love filming things. I'd currently like to attend UTexas-Austin for college. I play roller hockey for my school, and I am a member of the Varsity Scholar's Bowl team, state champs 06, 2nd in state in 08. I am also an announcer for my school's perennially dominant baseball team. I am ALSO the Drumline Captain for the DHS Marching Wildcats (1-0 in drumline battles :D) I consider myself a moderate, I'm fiscally and militarily conservative, and socially and ethically democratic (with some exceptions). I plan on supporting Obama.

     I am an avid listener of Hip-Hop and R&B. My favorite rapper at this time is currently Lil Wayne. My favorite R&B singer is The-Dream. I currently have a 3.4 GPA. I took the SAT in March, got a 1230, 1850 w/ writing, and a 28 on the ACT. The little bit of this opportunity I have experienced has been amazing, and can't wait to start working on my summer assignments.
