I was born on January 30, 1991 in Taiz, Yemen. I have lived in: Yemen; Tucson, Arizona; El Centro, California; and a couple cities within the Coachella Valley in CA. My life began as my dad was finishing up graduate school at the University of Arizona; as a baby this was a rare opportunity for me to "explore" massive books, piles of paper, and laptops. At one my family moved to Yemen for two years and at three we moved back to AZ. Later on  and my dad was offered a job in El Centro. Prior to this offer, we tried many different things; such as moving to Texas. Also, I broke my arm while playing tag in two places! That’s the only time I’ve ever broken anything, and to this day my parents are cautious about letting me participate in intense sports (or even doing cartwheels- but I can get around that). 

      In 1999 we moved to the Coachella Valley where we currently reside. Recently my friends and I did a study on ion concentrations in the Salton Sea; the last time experiments similar to ours were done was 1999! I love experimenting and discovering, I also have a passion for history and one for art. In the last year I got a new baby sister; she has brought so much light into my life. Now I have something to distract me from school! No worries though, I’ve actually been getting better grades. Every other summer my family and I travel to Yemen; we spend 2-3 months living in a world completely different from our own.
